We just finished our nest boxes today and I’m excited to share with you how we made them. First we went shopping for non-treated wood that was safe for our rabbits to nibble on in case they decided to eat it. Thankfully we found some and got enough to make four nest boxes, with lots left over! We then sized out the dimensions and cut them out. After we cut them, it was time to sand, sand, and sand some more around the edges. We truly had sanded edges when we were done. Next we carefully nailed them together, because screws could split the wood we were working with.

After we did that, we attached chicken wire to the bottom with poultry staples. This was most likely the hardest part because it required us to be super exact and careful about our wire cutting. After that was finished we were done! It took us a little less than 2 hours to make them!
